Back to life. Back to reality.
Hello Love,
Yesterday was, well honestly, it was far from stellar. Some days are like that, TBH, as the kids say. The good news is that nothing is permanent. Not the good days, and thank goodness, not the shitty days.
Getting back to work after the magic, or for some the overwhelmingness, of the holidays can feel like a lot of pressure. The shame spiral is right there waiting to yank us down...
“Have I set my intention for the year?” “What the heck is my theme word for 2019?” “What the heck is a theme word for the year anyway?” “Did I do enough emotional cleaning up of 2018?” “Why are these pants so tight?” “I need to work out more.” “I just want to crawl in a hole and hide?”
Time to his the reset button!
Here is one of the Pearls in my Toolbox to help you do just that:
1. At some point in your morning routine, notice what you are feeling - no judgement or criticism - just gently notice. Stop and take a quickie Self-Loving inventory, and maybe even add some deep belly breaths here. (ProTip: Deep belly breaths make everything better, even orgasms #truestory)
2. Make a list of what you desire to feel today. Not a list of to-dos. A list of to-feels. (ProNote: Desire is a grown up juicy word, a sovereign word. Want is more juvenile, as in ‘I want a pony.’)
3. Bonus accelerator: Share what you are feeling and what you desire to feel out-loud with someone - your lover, husband, wife, partner, soul-sister, the whole soul tribe, anybody. The spoken word is hella powerful. (ProTip: If this is way out of your comfort zone - good! Maybe start with your pet or speaking out-loud to yourself in the mirror.)
Example:
1. Today I feel sad, deflated, anxious, hopeful, angry, off, stupid. (ProNote: Careful not to say ‘I am’ followed by the feeling. ‘I am’ is perhaps the most powerful word combination that exists. Think of it like a magic wand. Whatever you put after it comes true.)
2. Today I desire to feel magical, powerful, in-the-flow, productive, prosperous, valued, bountiful, of service, loved, loving.
Magic comes simply from the loving act of witnessing oneself, discovering what is it you truly desire. And major magic comes from speaking it out-loud, and allowing yourself to be witnessed.
From my big juicy heart to yours!
Big Love,
Tracey Lee
